Can You ID this Bird?

Here's a young hawk that was brought in for examination at The Raptor Center today. Any guesses as to what it is? Cinnamon wants to give a hint:

"I really don't approve of these types of birds, must you include them in the blog??"

I don't know how much help that was. It's best not to expect a lot from a rabbit.

NBB's only 1/2 right... It's a brown and white bird. :)

I'm gonna stick with my original guess of juvenile Sharp-shinned hawk.

I have no idea what kind of bird it is (besides beautiful.) However, I did want to make a comment about your "disapproving rabbits." I live with a rabbit myself, and while I of course noticed his better-than-the-whole-world attitude, I'd never really taken note of how strongly he disapproves of...well, everything. Thanks for helping me understand Bela Lugosi the Bun a little better. One less thing for him to disapprove of!

Btw, whenever I'm a little blue, all I have to do is take a gander at your Disapproving Rabbits page, and it cracks me up. More proof that a rabbit is the surefire cure to whatever ails you!

Hmmm...I'm new to this (oh, and thanks for emailing back about the pesticides!)...so I'd guess Broad-winged?

Clueless but trying. :)
