Larry Saves The Day
You guys are the best, you're my think tank coming up with great suggestions and chuckles and even temporary solutions. Presently, the photos in the blog are brought to you by Larry Sirvio who offered to let me borrow an extra camera that he is not using. Apparently, he says that the blog is in serious trouble if I'm cranky. Thank you, Larry, for helping me keep the photos in the blog and sparing the readers from my "art" work. Yes, without Larry I wouldn't have been able to bring you breath taking photos like this:
Yikes! This cardinal is still a bit scary looking and seems kind of angry. It's a young of the year bird still growing into his adult plumage. I didn't find out if it was the same male that was banded earlier this summer. Should have paid closer attention.Okay, after a scary cardinal, we need something cute. So, how about this:
Any guesses as to this warbler? It's in fall plumage. Here are a couple of other angles:
Here's a profile shot. First correct answer and answer in the comment section wins a lens pen.

My daughter, Carrie, & I guess the Yellow Warbler. And, we are just going to take the moment to say that our rabbit, Fly, is also quite disapproving.
I am going to guess a Nashville warbler. Beautiful bird and glad you have your camera back though I liked your drawing.

AAAAAGGGGHHHH - a fall warbler!!!!!
[falling on the ground, frothing at the mouth, in a near-fit]
[getting back up, dusting myself off and guessing....]
Pine Warbler
Beautiful photo, but I still like your drawing.

Orange-crowned warbler?
I love the young cardinals this time of year. I'm just glad I didn't go through molting like that when I was a teenager.
Prairie Warbler?
I think Sharon draws nice rabbit pictures.
We've quite a few young cardinals going through that awkward phase. One looks like its sporting a red vest the way the color is coming in.
We had Serious Cooper's Hawk Action today. Since we've enough birds to wipe out my large tube feeder in a day and put a serious dent in the other 5 feeders it seemed odd none were around. One stalked us today with a vengeance, and at one point I got to watch the hawk glide in over the rooftop, just miss grabbing a sparrow off the roof of the hopper feeder, and then chase it around the backyard for a complete loop before the sparrow got away.
I will say Tennessee Warbler.
I'm also going to go with the Tennessee Warbler.
