I love Paint Your Wagon. Still, I'll never forget the deep look of horror on my husband's face the first time he saw it. He who is a big Clint fan; he who loves Dirty Harry and spaghetti westerns; he was horrified that Clint was sharing a woman and singing about the trees.
It was a moment! :)
PAINT YOUR WAGON RULES!!! I have the soundtrack and know all the songs! And I met Lee Marvin in Tucson Az when I was about 11 years old. My dad and I were going into the grocery store and he was coming out - in cut off jeans and a tshirt - no kidding. He stopped and said hello to us - it was COOL.
