Dopey Deer
While birding near Chase Lake in North Dakota, a white-tailed deer was running down the gravel road towards our group-completely oblivious to the group of birders watching it. It was trotting straight at us when it suddenly noticed the group with all the cameras--had an "Oh Crap!" moment and then ran away like a little school child.
I must admit, that's the dopiest deer run I have ever seen.

It was a dopey teenage boy deer. A female deer wouldn't have let the species down so badly. Bless his little white flag tail.
Ma'ma I just read Mr. Neil's journal. His dog Cabal just got sprayed by a skunk, this morning at three am. I know your a bird rehabalitor, but if you know anything about how to get a skunk out of a dog. Mr. Neil might need your help.

For skunk spray, the only thing I know is tomato juice. Poor Cabal!!

Ha! Ha! I just read Julie Zickefoose's description of a beautiful, quiet, tranquil moment with a trusting deer. Your's might have been the same one, but from a different perspective.

Priceless! I had no idea that deer's tails waggled so much when they weren't bounding away.
