Pigeon Madness--the good kind
There's a new bird club starting in New York called the Pigeon Club of New York City. The initial members appear to have a healthy sense of humor, which I heartily endorse. I highly recommend checking out their video section. Warning, crumb number one is a link to a video similar to the one I linked to of a pelican eating pigeon. This one is much better quality but this time you see a goose chase after the pelican--wonder if that means the pelican has been going for goslings besides pigeons?
Crumb number 2, however is a hilarious prank and worth checking out--especially with your kids. Crumb 3 is a cartoon I'm not familiar with and Crumb 4 is some retro Bert (of Sesame Street) action.

Well I have to comment here since no one else quite knows what to say.....I love it!! I live in Maine which is the home of 3 live webcams via Biodiversity Research Institute,(BRIloon.org) eagles, loons and Osprey. It's been a tough year for all three species with the eagles losing their eggs to a horrible nor'easter in April, the loons decided to take the year off from nesting and the Osprey also lost their eggs. I drive my youngest daughter to work every morning at 4:30 and we go under a bridge where pigeons roost & nest & we've started joking about setting up a pigeon cam so we can see pigeon babies; we've actually talked about a multiple cam set-up so we can get every angle....we're both a bit loony (apple not falling far from the tree and all). So I wonder if the NYC folks will be doing any live web cam work? And why don't we ever SEE pigeon babies? Obviously a cam is necessary.

Oh jacci, no one wants to see pigeon babies--the are UGLY. Thank goodness they grow feathers fast.
I watched that prank video five times in a row and couldn't stop laughing.
