We now return to your regularly scheduled programming
Sharon comes home today. Normal blogging will resume shortly, along with your daily recommended allowance of Brown Birds.
First, a bit of housekeeping:
To celebrate Sharon's return, we're having a bit of a sale over at the Birdchic Boutique. We're clearancing out our remaining Birdchick shirts for ten bucks each, plus shipping and handling (no, not the Disapproving Rabbits shirts). Get 'em while they last!
Three of the Monarch cocoons turned black overnight, which means they'll be emerging soon. Possibly today!
Thanks to all of you for your kind words during my guest stint (I typed "stink" there. Paging Dr. Freud!). Sharon tells me that she has an interesting post about bald birds coming up, right after she goes back and corrects every single inaccurate thing I wrote in her blog.
So long, and for god's sake, stop driving while birding!

Good job Bill. It's been fun to see things through your eyes! Now move over.
We have thoroughly enjoyed your blogs. Great job!
NBB, it's been fun. Will you be joining Birdchick in Cape May? They have lots of brown birds there. BTW, I don't drive while birding, I bird while driving. Is there a difference?
Why is it OK for You to decide how I should live. If I want to drink and bird watch while I'm driving, You will just have to take Your chances out there. I am a member of drunks with guns.
Thanks for keeping us entertained, NBB. It's been fun! Now, get back to waiting on Cinnamon hand & foot!
Thanks for holding the fort, NBB.
You did a great job.
I'll miss you, NBB! Please be sure to hijack the blog now and then to offer your (ahem) unique insights into just how nutty we birders are.
Thank you for the excellent entries the past few days. They were very interesting! Kathy
well NBB it's been fun, we'll miss you but not as much as we've missed our RDA of brown birds :-)
You have quite the twisted sense of humor, NBB, and it's been fun seeing things through your eyes. Thanks for keeping things going in Sharon's absence.

So long and thanks for all the Fish!
This note is to Sharon (and NBB):
Please don't change any of NBB's posts--I like 'em just the way they are...
If you must correct certain components, hopefully you'll just add your comments to his posts. Please???
We've loved having you as our guest host, NB - come back anytime!
Like Patrick, I don't drive while birding, I bird while driving. It makes my sister scream, which is half the fun, and sharpens my birding GISS (General Impression, Shape and Size) skills. I don't drink while birding and driving, though, as it makes it harder to ID brown birds when you are bleary-eyed.
~Kathi, whose verification word is "ditbz" - Ditz? Who you callin' a ditz? That's worse than geek.
I agree that Sharon should only amend and not alter NBB's entries. He did a fine job and gave us lots of updates on birds, bunnies, bees, butterflies, Bill, and (B)Sharon.
Welcome back.
I *would* buy a hot all bird action t-shirt, but I note that all the smalls are gone.
pshh off!
Will more be coming in?
:)
