Lot Sicker Than I Thought
So, I left, stopped at the grocery store, loaded up on fruits for our juicer, came home, and started boiling a left over roasted chicken for some broth. And then slept.
I'm a bit better today, but I think I need more sleep. Now, here is the question:
Non Birding Bill believes our box of Disapproving Rabbits books that people have ordered on the website that I'm supposed to personalize will arrive today. Do I begin the personalization process today, or wait until I'm healthy so as to not risk shipping my germs to the people who ordered a book?

Get some rest, Sharon.
No one should complain for one or two extra days. Especially if you get to the point where the constant signing becomes a bother.
It sounds like you have a nasty bug that won't be ignored.
Since the books aren't scheduled to be in stores for 10 days and some hours and minutes, there's really no rush.
You would do well to just chill(and sweat) until you're back to your old self.
(Plus - I don't want your germs)
Hope you feel better soon.
.
Niblet says to sleep and sweat for at least one whole day--that's what put me back on track. It's still hanging on, but I'm feeling a lot better after a day in bed and about ten glasses (at 160% RDA of vitamin C) of OJ.
Push fluids, not paper (heh). Feel better soon!
Forget about germs. Forget about the books (for the moment). The important thing is to get back to your usual state of health. Sleep, drink, rest. Besides...who knows what you might sign?
You should send out as many books as possible. This way you can be one of those "hub" carriers that gets mentioned when they try to trace back to the source of a pandemic. ;-)
i like Peggy's thinking :-)
but seriously, first off notice the difference between a guy and a gal - NBB is telling you that you need to blog and Lorraine is worried about you and wanting to make you tea :-)
REST.
too bad cin doesn't have thumbs... she may be the one bringing home the bacon now (accdg to the About DR page...) but it sure seems like you're still doing all the work! she just has to look cute and disapproving which is not difficult!
Just wait. We can wait too. :)
Rest! Rest Rest Rest! Cinnamon, go hop on top of the box and camp out there, giving Birdchick your most disapproving stares if she even thinks about signing...
Besides, Cinnamon can get a head start on her nibbling.

I don't believe the germs would actually survive the waiting, packing, sending etc. but, unless there is an emergency, just rest.
Drink plenty of fruit juice and broth.
REST.
rest, sign later. Everyone will wait. Besides, a readable signature is better than a blob.
Man, you guys are awesome! I love having people on the internet ordering me to rest. I'm following your advice, although, I'm sure NBB will say something to the effect of:
"I tell you to rest and you ignore it, your blog readers tell you to rest and all of a sudden you listen."
It sounds like the books didn't arrive today so no worries about transferring the germs. The upside is that since I'm getting the cold out of the way, I won't have it when I go to Cape May, New York, the book party or in Harlingen. Man, then end of October through early November is just going to be insanely busy.
Even though I can promise no germs on the books, I can't promise no bunny hair. If you ordered a personalized book, you may get some authentic Cinnamon fur.
Oh Honey, you rest up and make NBB bring you soup and juice while you snuggle in bed. Once you're well again.....I'm dying to hear a Peregrine update - I haven't had that bird off my mind much in the last few days...I hope all is going well. Both of you on the mend

You went to bed. Good.
Take it easy, there some nasty viral crud going around. The kid had it and it managed to segue into bronchitis.
from your 24-hour Librarian reader:
First - you should rest a lot on general principles
Second:

According to the Mayo Clinic ...
germs *could* survive up to 48 hours on a surface, depending...
Of course, then there's the issue of the receiver's immunities.
[As a substitute teacher, I have practically armor-plated immunity, but most folks aren't this lucky.
It goes along with incredibly thick skin for standing up to middle schoolers]
And speaking of personnalised books, I sent you an emial to ask if you'd mail one to Italy (preferably NOT via UPS)...
