Today On Cute Overload

Thanks to Cute Overload for putting the word out on this: Sparrow Shoes anyone?

Must not have been an actual birder who designed those shoes, otherwise they would have been covered in black oil sunflower--which is more sensible, you can always use a great pair of black shoes.

I saw those on C.O. yesterday and immediately thought of you. But I knew you frequented C.O. and would see them so I didn't need to do any pointing out. :)

I'm guessing they're designed and modeled by a European. Note the unshaven ankle (I'm assuming female).

Holy Cow! I totally didn't see the hairy ankles.

I went back and checked the link and almost snorted apple cider through my nose!

Hey if hairy legs make you laugh, I hall be a good European and forego the shaving of mine.
Immediately thought of you wen seeing these and then had visions of hungry birds eating your shoes and then not stopping there. It was scary.

spacedlaw's comment summed up my thoughts -- I can just see those hungry birds, pecking away at my feet, and then when the seed is gone, they just all look up at me in unison, as if to say, "Well? What else you got?"

*shudder*

Perhaps this is a birder's nightmare?

LOL!

I think it depends on the birds. Let's see, what does eat millet:

grackles
pigeons
house sparrows

Wouldn't you just love to have those at your feet? Although, there is the potential for:

juncos
song sparrows
white-throated sparrows
indigo buntings
painted buntings

I could handle flocks of those birds at my feet.

But I still say squirrels will get the upper hand...or foot.
