My friend (and beehive namesake)
Kitty forwarded me an email from a Jon Freestone who has a robin nesting in an inconveneint spot.

Jon says: "The nest was built between a Saturday and a Wednesday (that is the day it was first noticed) It has been there for about two weeks now, figure I will leave it to just to see what happens."

I think we can get an idea of how often Jon uses this bike.

oh i'm sure he wants to ride it but since the nest is there he's sacrificing his love for riding with the greater good of not disturbing the nest!!! haha
This reminds me of silly coots nesting next to the motors of boats...
Sweet!
How about sponsoring a roundup of photos showing nests in oddball locations?
Capital Idea! Let me see what I have for prizes.
The sad part is I was planning on riding the bike to work and that is when the next was noticed.
My 5-year-old niece gave me a call yesterday wanting me to mail her the nest after the bird leaves.
That's precisely why I couldn't use my canoe (which was suspended under my back deck) for a good part of last summer - only it was mourning doves nesting there. And they had two clutches.
The most unique nest location I've seen so far!
