my only guess is that cute little bird :-)
I read your blog to learn about bees but I am being drawn into the bird business slowly. Next time I comment I might actually know what kind of bird that is :-D
Well, I suppose bees wouldn't want a bird in their bonnet!

Arrrgggg... it's a tie! Okay, how 'bout this:
I'm guessing a Black-headed Grosbeak doesn't belong with your bee-stuff.
:)
I am just super impressed with how well organized the bee keeping stuff is. The bird would be lost in the clutter of any such set of shelves I was in charge of!
teehee!
I'm pretty sure that sweet li'l bird isn't supposed to be there! And I read your blog because I love birds, and I'm slowly being drawn into the bee world! Oh...and I have a secret crush on Mr. Neil, too!
That little birdie is a left over from NBB's "Dear Sharon" post?
How did that one get into the garage?
I'm thinking we better go back and have a closer look at NBB's Crayon bird and compare with the Dead Parrot thing to look for evidence of nails, Hot Glue (Ooooo, kinky!) or rubberbands.
Yeah, I though NBB was protecting you from brightly colored r2iffraff. Maybe inviting it in was2 the only alternative.
Ahhhhhhh... an Oriole! Very nice. Why is it you don't post larger photos...I couldn't enlarge the picture enough to see the bird, really. Perhaps cuz you post so many...you do good work! Thanks!
Total props to the Fabulous Lorraine for keeping the bee area totally organized. I must be one lucky beekeeper. I have two Junior Beekeepers and one Personal Beekeeping Assistant.
And I need them all. If you could see my apartment right now, you would know how disorganized I can bee...especially during bird festival season.

Re: Photo Size
Usually, if you click on the photo, there is a somewhat larger version, but the main reason I keep them small is to prevent someone stealing and printing them in publications without my permission.
One of my favorite emails came from a man making a poster for a nature center and he complained:
"I don't know if you're aware of this, but your photos make little boxes when I try to print them from your website. You need to fix that so people can use your photos."
