We spent ages worried about a kitten trapped in our trees before we worked it out . It was a catbird which I had never heard of or seen before , makes a good combo with our resident cow birds
Hm, from my banding experience I've learned that baby (hatch year) catbirds have yellow mouth interiors and adults have black mouths, so this looks like an adult! :)
all my cats came running to the monitor! What a treat! Bet that's how they 'feather' their nests; with soft downy cat fur stolen off the backs of the unsuspecting. Hilarious! Thanks for sharing!

My all time favorite back yard bird- catbird.
Sounds like he's saying 'Mommy!'
Sounds like he's yelling, "ERIC!" Very funny! What a great video. Did you see his little cap come up?

Drove my cat crazy - thanks for the look-see at the source of the mewing everywhere.

What a beautiful video!! Sounds to me like she's calling Harry for dinner. Thanks for posting that it's lovely. Mary
Stephanie is right, definitely an adult. Very neat video, always nice to associate calls and actions to an individual bird!
