If you need a break from the headlines...here's something from Nick Park called Creature Comforts: Being a Bird:

Hee hee!

If you dropped an emu out of an aircraft, it wouldn't stay in the air, would it?

I love it. :D

Saw my first Common Yellowthroat yesterday in the middle of downtown Pittsburgh. What's up with that? It was by the river, but still seems like the last place a Yellowthroat would hang out-- it's pretty industrial down there. Do warblers normally venture that far into heavy urban areas?

"You think it's all sort of Peterpanie..."

Brilliant.

I thought it was a funny TV show but it never really caught on.

Sharon - I LOVE Parks and so do my kids. Nice break in the day. BTW Oct. 7th doesn't work for me at B&B.

That was great- I haven't seen that one before! I love the line, "I've never been lost in my entire life...temporarily misplaced maybe but not lost." The humour is so very, very British.

I have a short video on my blog that shows the Creature Comforts characters promoting England's Countryside Code:
