Dear Black-necked Stilt:
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is just a duck, but you - you are a Top Model of the bird world. Tall, slender, leggy - and wearing classic black and white, with those red stockings for accent.
Never be ashamed of who you are. Just be the best stilt you can be, and look down your long bill at those duckers.

I have been feeling entirely too much like that stilt lately. *sigh*
No, Stilt, no. Don't buy into their bully mentality. You are striking, you are beautiful. They have the jealousy that only someone with "the web-foot, flat-beak, stumpy legged, we are also edible" personality disorder could have. Ignore them.

So, how much can their puny attempt at disapproval mean?
Go back to believing you are the cool bird that you are.
I love all the readers who are so pro-stilt. Perhaps we should form a new bird club?

Is there a big anti stilt contingent out there in the world? I didn;t realize anyone was anti-stilt.
I always love to watch a good bully in action. Still, I dig the stilt.
