How Would You Like These At Your Feeder?
A bird feeder at Los Tarrales in Guatemala. Would you like a blue-gray tanager and golden-fronted woodpecker coming?

That would be so awesome to have those at my feeder! Right now I'm lucky to get a couple chickadees or cardinals. Maybe I'll have to put out some bananas ;)
Why, yes! Yes, I would.
I'm really surprised by how "familiar" a lot of these birds seem compared to the birds I'm used to. I think I was expecting a riot of exotic color, too! (That said, never seen a blue-grey tanager before. Bee-yoo-tee-ful.)
Is that woodpecker the same as what I know as a "red-bellied" woodpecker? It looks like it. I have a few of them in my yard in North Carolina. I love them, they have so much personality. : )
