All right! Now you’ve done it! NBB is a chauvinist. We all know that even brightly colored birds might have brown mates. So if you’re against brown birds, you’re dimissing a lot of females. On the other hand, the crayola box is very clever.
WHOA! Aren’t you a little concerned that NBB will read up on the wild behavior of the female Wilson’s phalarope? You have birders reading the blog who know about those girls. We are assuming you are referring to the fact that males are smaller and duller and NBB doesn’t read your responses.
That’s funny! Well, I’m off to study the difference between sepia and chocolate.
Brilliant! Um, I mean…Monochromatic!

Too funny! Now let’s name them all!

There are far more shades to brown than just 64…
No, anonymous, NBB is pretty down on all brown birds–even the brown males–you should have seen his face when I showed him a male lark sparrow.
What can I say, he’s not married to a female indigo bunting, but to a female Wilson’s phalarope.
Too cool! Do they have one called “slightly tawny” or “brownish”?
And there’s probably some connection that we can make to my most recent post.
Thanks NBB, this made me laugh.

NBB read up on phalaropes? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA.
Thanks for the laugh. He rarely reads the comments of the blog, unless I’m out of town and I need someone on troll patrol.
