You can hear killdeers day or night, especially during migration and you can trust info from BNA, Cornell wouldn't lie to you.

Bees and beekeeping tags are still there. Did you try using the search feature at the top of the blog page?

Hi! I have a friend that is interested in bees. I was going to direct her to your bee tag, but you seem to have lost it in translation. Will it be coming back?

I love your bee saga/ongoing story and have shared it around quite a bit.

I did find this link - http://bna.birds.cornell.edu/bna/species/517/articles/introduction - which tells me the killdeer flies at night in early spring and late summer. True?

Most interesting. Nuthatches are lovely birds, aren't they?

Sharon, I have a bird question for you - lately I've been hearing killdeer calls outside my window at night, even past midnight, here in Rhode Island. I am almost positive it is a killdeer call, unless there is a bird that has an almost identical call. Do killdeer fly at night in summertime? I know they sometimes fly at night in spring.
