I know just how he feels. I ate a whole pizza a couple of nights ago. I had that “I can’t believe I ate that whole pizza” feeling for a while. Relative to body mass though, this heron just ate a HUGE amount of food! Thanks for passing that along. Now if only we could get them to eat feral cats.
From what little of the fish we saw, I think your headline might aptly be “Holy Carp! …”
Maybe even Holy Carp! Of course it was a holey carp by the time he was finished with it.
(This is me, the videoscoper, so I can poke all the fun I want!)
I have to be truthful…it was your post title that caught my attention…love it! Now, the video…the word glutton comes to mind and after watching that I feel like drinking a big glass of water…I think something is stuck in my throat!
Super fantastic video!!!
Those were some “love handles”. Just in a different place.
I’ve always wondered how they don’t choke to death when snarfing down something that size — seriously, how does he breath?!
