A Wingscapes Movie 8

Oct272009

wingscapes

A snippet of birds visiting the green mesh feeder made with the Wingscapes Cam.  This was more of a test to see if I could teach myself how to make an animated gif. How many bird species can you identify?

Now another question: do I post the P&S and JoCo trampoline photos?

I was just wondering if any of you Birders have seen this video? It was posted on Cute Overload earlier. I thought you might enjoy it.

Here’s a YES vote to the JoCo trampoline photos.

  3. It’s better than claymation, Sharon…

I must get a Wingscapes. Love the video!

I love the motion sensitive cameras. When I’m in the habit of using my camera, I have fun. When I get to traveling I forget about it. It’s been fun to be home and rediscover all my backyard birding toys.

If you would like, you can order that WingScapes Cam from my OpenSky shop and 20% of the profits will go to ABA’s young birder programs.

I don’t want to be a pest and say “buy my stuff” but I must say that I am super excited that the shop is going to contribute to giving kids a chance to do some cool birding things with the American Birding Association.

I see five different birds. The Tufted Titmouse is a regular at the feeder lately, as I am in Boston on vacation.

  7. Penny says:

I see boreal chicadee, white breasted nuthatch, a female purple finch (distinctive light eyestripe), a red bellied woodpecker, and a titmouse of some kind, tufted, I guess. Most tufted birds can lay their tuft down, so that’s my guess.

  8. Penny says:

Okay, the chickadee is blackcapped, too dark for boreal.
