Google Alerts On This Site

Posted by Birdchick on July - 28 - 2010

I’ve received several emails regarding the Google warning for my site–thanks so much for the head’s up!  It appears to have been a problem with the Fat Birder 500 button and when I try to go to Fat Birder, I get the same warning.  Non Birding Bill removed the code from both the blog and from the RSS feed. However, certain RSS feeds may still have the code until they update.

But it’s gone and hopefully that will solve the problem.

I removed it and NBN a long time ago, because their counts were way off, showing only about 5% of my actual traffic. NatureBlogNetwork “might” produce the same problem – since both use the same Aadvark script. Unless it was the display of the rank that was perceived as malware. In that case NBN should be fine.

    This was interesting:
    http://www.annarbor.com/news/beekeeper-attacked-by-overly-aggressive-bees-firefighters-use-750-gallons-of-water-to-disperse-them/

I wonder why she was (a) messing with the queen in midsummer and (b) not using a smoker to enter a hive when the bees are in full activity mode.

Weird story with much missing from it.

Thanks for this info Sharon. I just removed the button (Fat Birder) from my blog as well.
