Let’s check out one of the rarest parrots on the planet for some Valentine’s Day pointers and tips. Males walk high on top of a hill, furrow into a little ditch and then booming out a low register call to attract a female. Because there are so few kakapos left there are breeding programs and the birds are closely monitored, but sometimes things can get a little funky in the breeding program.
This is a good warning that if you use some of these techniques, be prepared to deal with the consequences. Flightless parrots with rampant hormones don’t always realize that, “Ow means no.”

I’ve seen that series a while ago and I laughed so hard at this. Apart from that hilarious moment, it’s also great to see that, almost 20 years after Douglas Adams wrote Last Chance to See, all the effort put into bringing the Kakapo back wrote the book is actually paying off.
Hysterical!
Haha, this movie is so funny!
Sharon, thank you so much for all of these Valentine’s special posts. I’ve learned, and laughed, and been amazed. Great job!
I had to laugh so hard, it brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for posting, Sharon. It made my day!
