I was one of the birders at Point Pelee this past weekend that was so very disappointed. Imagine there being a Boarder procedure to get here without a green card!
I was at Hillman Marsh and saw a bird fly over, wings flapping and then he tucked them against his body and flew like a bullet, than back to flapping and back and forth. What bird is this?
A Red Winged Blackbird flew over right after alternately flapping and soaring. This is what I am accustomed to seeing.
